Aligned Section View

You tin create an aligned section view in a drawing through a model, or portion of a model, that is aligned with a selected section line segment. The aligned section view is similar to a Department View , but the department line for an aligned section comprises two or more lines continued at an angle. The aligned department rotates the cutting into the plane of the selected segment.

Aligned section views are typically used for sectioning features that would appear foreshortened in regular section views.

You can pre-select sketch entities that belong to the cartoon sheet to create aligned department views. The sketch entities do non accept to belong to an existing drawing view.

To create an aligned section view:

1. Click Aligned Section View on the Drawing toolbar, or click Insert, Drawing View, Aligned Section.

To create an aligned section view with more than than two lines, you must select the sketched lines earlier clicking Aligned Section View . The lines must be connected at an bending and cannot grade multiple contours.

2. Sketch the department line. The section line should consist of 2 continued lines at an bending to each other. Use sketch relations equally necessary.

3. Set options in the Section View PropertyManager.
